About the YBN

Mission Statement

The Young Birders Network connects young birders from around the world to share their love of birds and birding.

ABout the Young Birders Network

Created by and for young birders, the Young Birders Network (YBN) is committed to providing resources for young birders to connect and learn while giving their adult advocates resources to encourage and support. We make this possible through an engaging social media presence, a comprehensive website, and strong youth leadership.

The YBN is primarily geared for middle and high schoolers, but birders of all ages may find our resources helpful. On the site, you'll find a toolkit for starting young birders clubs, listings of upcoming camps and events, information on colleges and majors, and more!

The YBN is a program of Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
