October 16, 2022

Picture

All checklists on October 16, 2022 are valid to enter. Below are the steps on how to add your observations to the group total.

1. Go Birding and record Observations in eBird

2. Share eBird list with "Young Birders Network"

Once you share the lists to the Young Birders Network they will need to be accepted and added. Do not worry if you do not see your totals added immediately. This has to be manually approved.

3. Follow along for real-time updates!

As checklists are accepted, the species total will be updated here. Any images attached to the eBird lists will appear here for everyone to see as well as a global map showing where participants are birding from!
*Disclaimer: If birding from locations you would like to keep private, please move the pin slightly away from the exact location as pins are shown in the map on the trip report.

Visit our Big Day Information page for frequently asked questions!

Big Day Recap Video Information

If you wish to participate in the recipe video for the Young Birders Network Global Big Day, please submit videos recording during your birding adventures on October 16. A few guidelines for the video:

1. Video must be recorded in vertical orientation
2. Please include your name and country/state/location you're birding
3. Videos can be of you talking about your favorite birding site, birds you've seen that day, scenery, and/or why you're interested in the YBN Global Big Day
4. Phone to scope videos are encouraged as well so we have birds to add into this as well!
5. Email videos to youngbirdersnetwork@bsbo.org with your name, location, and any bird species seen included in the email as well so we can label it all correctly!
